PATIALA: The police here have booked four accused including two women under sections of extortion and criminal intimidation for blackmailing a man after taking his pictures in objectionable and compromising position with themselves.
The police claimed that the accused women are suspected of running a prostitution business, however, no such record has been traced yet. The police extra that they are checking if any alternate case has been registered against the accused earlier.
The 35-year-old complainant told police that he came into the of these women only a few days back through a social media platform. He added revealed to police that the women called him and provoked to develop physical relations and when he reached the proposed site to meet the women, they clicked his pictures and made videos. The complainant extra that the accused blackmailed him into paying Rs 50,000 otherwise they would send the videos to his family members. They also threatened to upload the video on internet.
“The complainant hails from Moonak of and had gone to a place where the accused women were already present. In a room of the house, these women invited the complainant and allegedly provoked him for physical relations. However, one of the women clicked the pictures and then made a video on her mobile and started blackmailing the complainant. The women along with the two other men involved in this case started demanding Rs 50,000 from the complainant and warned him of dire consequences if he revealed to the police”, said , Patran where the case is registered. The SHO extra that it was suspected that these women in their thirties were involved in the prostitution however the matter was under probe. He said that one of the accused women was arrested while others are absconding.
